Jude 1:20-21
But you, dear friends, by building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, 21 keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.
Jude teaches that praying in the spirit and unity will keep God's love reigning in us. however there are six laws of prayer that every believer needs to apply in communication to God.these laws are as follows
the law of specificity
“What do you want me to do for you?” Jesus asked him.
The blind man said, “Rabbi, I want to see.( mark 10:51)
Jesus was on his way to jericho, on his way, he met blind bartimaeus. Jesus asked him what he wanted. blind bartimaeus asked Jesus in faith that he wanted to see. Jesus gave bartmaeus sight.
so even when we pray it is important to ask specifically what we want from God.
the bible teaches in psalms 37:4 that"Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart".
Matthew 7:7 says "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you".
in that innermost place of prayer tell God what you want He is faithful to grant it.
