Am part of the Jesus/Joshua Generation!!!

Joshua 1:7-10

Be strong and very courageous. Obey all the laws Moses gave you. Do not turn away from them, and you will be successful in everything you do. Study this Book of the Law continually. Meditate on it day and night so you may be sure to obey all that is written in it. Only then will you succeed. I command you -- be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the LORD your God is with you wherever you go."

we are living in times where we need to stand for God like never before amidst the wickedness in our generation .it is a time when our love for God is like a fire God is calling us to a point of being able to stand and be a light to the perishing world amidst the darkness. We are Christians called to be like Christ with the courage of the Joshua character in the Bible. Allow me to introduce you to the traits of the people we are called to be in the Jesus/ Joshua generation;

they are courageous: Joshua says that be strong and take good courage this time Joshua and other Israelites were going to the promised land. The spies who had been sent had returned with a report that they had seen giants in the land.this report brought fear into the lives of the israelites. Amidst all this Joshua said , be strong and take good courage. There is one thing that made Joshua courageous, it was that he knew God was with him. So in all we go through in life the gear towards our courage should be the fact that God is with us. We are a bold and courageous generation. Dont be intimidated by giants and mountains, your faith can move them
.
They are obedient to God: obedience is a central calling to every believer. God is our father and friend. He loves us , he wants us to obey what he says. The biggest form of obedience in every one's life is to accept Christ as their lord and savior. When we do this then He is able to change us as we become more like him. However for them that believed the Lord Jesus, we have a duty to live for Him. To allow him work in us. The Bible says in Ephesians 2:10 that we are Christ’s workmanship created for good works. We ought to read the word of God and obey it without compromise!
They read and study God's word: the bible is the only truth about you and me. The truth is what God says about what he has made. That truth is in God's word that set everything in motion. If we need to grow in wisdom and knowledge of God, then we ought to know God's word. This can be done by a discipline of reading God's word every day. Just like our bodies cant live without food, our spiritual bodies cant live without the word of God. Read your Bible and pray every day if you want to grow in Christ!
They meditate on the word of God:day in day out......they think, they ponder about this word of God and have a desire to do what it says. As a generation, lets not meditate on things that do not help us. Lets meditate on God's word Philippians 4: 8 says that whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable--if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things. What do you meditate about?
They are destined to prosper: it is God's will that we prosper! Because God is rich and prosperous and we are his children! Jeremiah 29:11 says that God has good plans for us. We are blessed to prosper in life if we obey God. Deutronomy 28 says If you fully obey the LORD your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations on earth. God is willing to prosper us because its his will. Psalms 1:3 says that a man that obeys the word of God is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.
Do you want to prosper? Read and obey the word of God. The greatest prosperity that one can attain is to know Jesus as Lord and Savior. Through Him we can Go and live with the father forever. Wooooo!!
they are visionary.
They are bold and have passion for the gospel
they shun evil.
they are quick to forgive.
they are humble and desire to be like Jesus.

they do not settle for less.
they do not focus on the past.
they do not believe in bad reports.
They are not content, they hunger for more.
They help others to succeed without caring about their own esteem.
They set an example.
They believe all things are possible.

if you would like to give your life to Christ.....say this simple prayer

Dear Father,

I now believe that Jesus Christ is Your only begotten Son, that He came to our earth in the flesh and died on the cross to take away all of my sins and the sins of this world. I believe that Jesus Christ then rose from the dead on the third day to give all of us eternal life.

Lord Jesus,

I now confess to You all of the wrong and sinful things that I have ever done in my life. I ask that You please forgive me and wash away all of my sins by the blood that You have personally shed for me on the cross. I am now ready to accept You as my personal Lord and Savior. I now ask that You come into my life and live with me for all of eternity.

Father, Jesus – I now believe that I am truly saved and born again.

Thank You Father.
Thank You Jesus.

GENERATION IMPACT FELLOWSHIP( G.I.F ).

generation impact fellowship began at Japhine hostel. at Uganda christian university Mukono along Bishop tucker Road. it begins at 8pm every Friday .
i would like to thank the following comitee members for their tireless efforts towards fellowship

janet Namono who is our treasurer for being trustworthy and always availing funds whenever we needed them, jonathan muwemba who is the vice president for all his support in all ways, gilbert Iguru who is the welfare cordinator for working hard that we had bites during the fellowship, i would also like to thank Mutatwala jonathan, stella tusiime, kitamirike kenneth, Dorcus, judith, stelios, brian, Jason, Omara Joel, Angella, benjamin Nesta, Mercy, jonah kamusiime, Ecebu Jude for all your support towards generation impact fellowship. i wish you a merry x-mas and a happy new year.

the will of God

romans12:1-2...i beseech you therefore brethren by the mercies of God that you present your your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God which is your reasonable service, do not conform to the standards of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, that you may prove what is good and acceptable WILL OF GOD. without knowledge understanding the will of God becomes a mystery , but just like an earthly father knows what is good for their children, God knows what is perfect for me and you, A father will plan for His children well, but God affirms their destiny. the will of God calls us to offer our selves to him as a sacrifice, this can be done by knowing the word of God and what God's promises are to us,we need to align our desires and aspirations into God's word, for example if one is seeking for a life time partner, it takes one to know what God says in the qualities of a good partneaccording to His word, it takes one decision to set a standard that is aligned with what God wants and expects of us. renewing our minds with the word and we shall understand what the will of God is. conforming to the standards of the world will lead us astray and we can always find problems with our lives. let us be wise in all that we do that we may not go against the will of God because God is a father and He knows what is perfect and good for you and me. we can understand the will of God through Him speaking to us by a small still voice, in our conscience, through affirmation, through circumstances and also through people by words of knowledge. in that way, God speaks to us. we have desires ,if we need to know the will of God we need to suit them according to God's standard that we may not conform to the standards of this world, we also need to pray in the spirit to understand the will of God, the bible in the book of Romans 8;26 that we do not know how to pray but the spirit intercedes for us in groans that words cannot express, praying in the spirit enables us to pray according to the will of God. praying in the spirit entails dedicative prayer and also praying in tongues. in this way God'will manifest His will, knowing God's will also calls us to righteousness, God wants us to do what pleases Him and that can't be done without doing what is good. let God help us to understand more about His will.

"I WILL NOT MAKE A SACRIFICE THAT WILL COST ME NOTHING"

1st chronicles 21:24....."i will not take what is yours for the lord, nor burnt offerings that with that which will cost me nothing"....these were the words of David to Ornan who wanted to sell him a threshing floor where he would build an altar for God, David desired God and felt that he would,nt obtain the threshing floor free of charge , because to David God was a tresure and He felt He had to pay a" price" for the setting up the altar, reflecting on our lives, if we need God to use us mightly, we need to pay a price that is worthy, when we need anointing that will keep us on the altar of God, we need to pay a worthy price through prayer, fasting, sleeplessnights of prayer,evangelism, sharing. among others this will qualify us to stay on the altar of God
prayer for today
lord help me offer my body a s aliving sacrifice that i may stay on the altar , because that,s my greater calling, Lord use me as you want in Jesus's name Amen

count your blessings

psalms 103:2 .....bless the lord oh my soul and forget not his benefits....those were the words of a king..David , this was atime he was down cast...much as He had every thing a king would ever admire....he had a emptiness, he must have felt dissapointed but He encouraged himself in those words, you may have been through some hard time and you really dont have a reason to thank God but today learn to count yo blessingz , when you count your blessings one by one, God blesses you more en more , live a life of victory in Jesus Name

prayer for today
lord teach me to count my blessings and thank you for everything because all things work together for my good Amen
